AbbVie has long been a champion of the three organizations’ shared vision for advancing biotech entrepreneurship and continues to play a critical role in the networks they have cultivated over the past decade.
This collaboration will focus on fostering early-stage innovation, enhancing the vibrant ecosystems nurtured by BioLabs, LabCentral and MBC BioLabs and support the over 500+ startups across the network of shared lab facilities in the United States, France, and Germany.
A key highlight of this initiative is AbbVie’s sponsorship of Golden Tickets, available for use at LabCentral in Cambridge, MBC BioLabs in San Francisco, and any of BioLabs’ operating sites in the U.S., France, or Germany. The Golden Ticket provides one year of free lab bench space to emerging biotech startups, significantly reducing operational barriers and enabling promising ventures to focus on scientific breakthroughs.
Through this partnership, the resident companies will have access to investment and entrepreneurial support through AbbVie Ventures, and expertise and guidance through AbbVie’s team of R&D experts. This includes dynamic opportunities for connection and collaboration, including facilitated introductions, mentorship initiatives, dedicated office hours, and curated networking events.
LabCentral serves as a launchpad for high-potential life science and biotech startups in Cambridge, providing resources to accelerate growth and innovation. BioLabs operates as an international membership-based network of shared lab and office facilities, connecting global biotech communities and MBC BioLabs specializes in co-working laboratory spaces in the San Francisco, Bay Area, offering startups the tools they need to thrive.
