BioLabs is working closely with BioRN, the leading non-profit membership network supporting the Life Science Cluster in the Rhine-Neckar region, to adapt BioLabs US co-working model to the German research and biotech environment. Heidelberg belongs to the leading Life Science Clusters in South Germany, which is the birthplace of companies such as BioNTech, Cellzome, ImClone, Phenex and Ganymed. The new Heidelberg site will offer first-class, fully outfitted wet laboratories, furnished office spaces, and access to premium scientific equipment for early-stage life-science companies. BioLabs Heidelberg will celebrate its Groundbreaking event on August 16 in Heidelberg.
Lilly has been a constant and key sponsor of BioLabs at multiple US sites since 2017. With their new sponsorship of BioLabs-Heidelberg, Lilly is renewing their commitment to continue to support BioLabs and the development of innovative entrepreneurial ecosystems in multiple geographies. As an integral part of their three-year sponsorship, Lilly will offer guidance and provide expertise to young entrepreneurs. In particular, leaders from Lilly’s European business development function are well-placed to engage with emerging local companies on the ground.
