Black Diamond has an exciting opening for an experienced cancer biologist to serve as Director – Discovery Biology at the research site located in New York City. Reporting to the VP of Discovery Biology, the incumbent will lead a biology team and drive drug discovery projects through close collaboration with others to reshape and extend the pipeline of precision oncology medicines.

-Upstream Strain Engineering and Analytics Scientist 1

The Lead Upstream Development Scientist will provide technical leadership to an agile team who are focused on developing systems for dynamically controlling recombinant protein expression in microbial strains. Applied experience in molecular biology, protein engineering, protein characterization, and assay development. In addition to building Helaina’s strain engineering, protein engineering, and analytics pipelines, the Lead Upstream Scientist will also help to shape the company’s product roadmap and establish milestones along the critical path of early stage R&D.

We are looking for a Community Manager as our first marketing hire to join Helaina’s founding team in building community at the ground level. We are changing how parents take care of their babies and supporting their earliest stages of parenthood.

Your mission will be to build the community and conversation for parents interested in exploring new, healthy ways of caring for their infants. You will catalyze and elevate these incredible conversations to build a community. You will be responsible for creating and managing outlets for conversation. ​You will be the foremost authority on what every Helaina parent feels and thinks about our offering​.

-Scientist (Strain Engineering)

As a Scientist on C16 Bio’s Strain Engineering team, you will harness molecular and synthetic biology tools to create new, rationally-designed microbial strains with core performance advantages. You will be entrusted as a thought leader in our broad efforts to develop next-generation strains and oils which deliver value to our customers. Projects may involve manipulating carbon metabolism in order to increase flux towards lipid biosynthesis; introducing exogenous metabolic functions to a host microorganism; or even designing molecular biological pathways to producing superior products which outperform traditionally palm-oil derived ingredients.


-Research Associate (Strain Engineering)

As a Strain Engineering Research Associate, you will be at the forefront of our R&D team. You will utilize your microbiology skills to generate new and exciting strains to meet C16 Bio’s goal of producing a truly sustainable palm oil alternative. Your projects will range from improving the productivity of C16’s strains, modifying strains for greater resilience and tolerance, or even creating novel compounds through strain engineering.








-Director Of Research Development

As the R&D Director you will be a hands-on leader willing to roll-up your sleeves and develop our genomics data science and clinical analytics capabilities to grow company’s value and to achieve our business goals. You will oversee the development of methods for analysis of large and complex genomics data sets related to cancer and will empower, through the specific domain knowledge and experience, the various aspects related to the research and development of our tools and products.

-Customer Success Lead

The customer success lead will be responsible for defining and executing on Immunai’s customer success strategy, and for leading productive, long-term business relationships with our biopharmaceutical partners. Internally, the CSL will serve as the voice of the customer, and provide the key customer context to our business, R&D and product teams to inform our product and go to market decisions. 


-Alliance Manager

The customer success lead will be responsible for defining and executing on Immunai’s customer success strategy, and for leading productive, long-term business relationships with our biopharmaceutical partners. Internally, the CSL will serve as the voice of the customer, and provide the key customer context to our business, R&D and product teams to inform our product and go to market decisions. 


-Logistics Technician

This staff member will provide technical services supporting the daily Laboratory and Clinical Operations. Responsibilities include: sample collection kit preparation, quality control, and distribution; biospecimen accessioning, storage, experiment prep, and distribution; supply inventory and record keeping.


-Business Operations Lead

The business operations lead will be responsible for defining and executing on Immunai’s business operations strategy. Immunai is a small and rapidly growing company, and the business ops lead should be prepared and excited to wear a number of different hats to ensure that we can successfully scale our operational infrastructure to meet our growing business demand. The candidate will work closely with all functional areas (Engineering, Genomics, Business, Product) in order to achieve our operational goals. 


-Cell Therapy Development Scientist

The primary purpose of this position is to support planning and execute experiments focused on the development of cell therapy against cancer. The position requires expertise in T-cells culturing and engineering. Responsibilities include performing molecular cloning, cell culturing, cell engineering, and validation assays. CAR-T experience is a plus.
