In our research immersion program diverse scholars work as peers with Institute researchers on neurobiology, cell-signaling, genomics, evolutionary and developmental biology, ecology, and environmental/human health projects.
By contributing to all research phases, our scholars synthesize scientific fundamentals, discuss peer-reviewed literature, formulate hypotheses and design experiments; they collect and process samples, apply modern laboratory methods, manage and analyze data, and showcase their work through science seminar symposiums attended by accomplished scientists and industry leaders.
The Institute fosters opportunities for collaborations, internships, and relevant career opportunities in academia, government, and the life science industry. Currently hosting pre-college and college students, we strive to make this experience accessible to anyone curious and eager to contribute and/or pursue a life science research career, including under-resourced students, military veterans, science teachers, professionals, and seniors.
